Tranex, Inc designs, develops, produces and markets custom/standard transformers, high voltage oil filled tanks, inductors, toroids and related magnetic components. Tranex offers contract assemblies and other power related box builds.

Tranex originally was a spin off of Hewlett Packard’s Pecos division in Northern CA, founded in 1960. The original business model called for manufacturing facilities in most major cities. In 1967, Tranex opened its site in Colorado Springs, CO which is now corporate headquarters.

For over forty years Tranex, Inc has evolved from two engineers into a global manufacturing and design operation. The Colorado Springs location employs 45 people, including 3 design engineers. Tranex is presently a privately held corporation.
